Aion Medical Imaging uses the latest mobile ultrasound systems provides BULK BILL diagnostic mobile ultrasound service to medical centres, and residential age care facilities on site or home. Our experienced Australian registered sonographers endeavour to introduce high-quality diagnostic scans to your facility. All our sonographers have experience in working in tertiary hospital, private imaging centres and age care facility. Our goal is to fast-track a convenient pathway to ultrasound at the bedside.
Our Ultrasound Services - ALL REFERRALS ACCEPTED
General ultrasound: thyroid, salivary gland, breast, abdominal (include liver elastography), renal , prostate, pelvic.
Obstetrics ultrasound: Dating, 12-16 weeks, 18-22 weeks morphology, growth and fetal wellbeing scan (GAP payment for >12 weeks).
Vascular ultrasound: carotid Doppler, upper limbs Venous (DVT), upper limbs arterial, lower limbs (DVT, and venous incompetency for varicose veins), lower limbs arterial, renal Doppler and AAA Doppler.
MSK ultrasound: shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, groins (Inguinal hernia), hips and buttock, hamstring, thigh, knee, ankle, foot, chest and abdominal wall.
Ultrasound is a safe and accurate scan tool used to assess different parts of the body. Ultrasound procedure will take up to approximately 15-60 minutes.

Preparing for an ultrasound
Renal (kidney or bladder), pelvis, lower abdomen or pregnancy ultrasounds require you to have a full blader. It is necessary to FINISH drinking 1 litre of water one hour prior to the scan and try to hold your bladder.
Upper abdominal ultrasound such as pancreas, liver, or gallbladder require you to fast for 6 hours prior to the examination.
